ComGate Logistics is Rebranding to Shipmall
5. 1. 2022
From January 2022, our logistics services operate under the new brand Shipmall, after separating from ComGate. The service quality remains unchanged, but with clearer communication and a stronger focus on fulfillment for e-commerce businesses.
Why are we changing the brand for our logistics services from ComGate to Shipmall? What impact does this have on customers, our team, and suppliers? You will find answers to these questions in this article.
Until the end of 2021, we provided logistics services under ComGate, a.s. in the Czech Republic and ComGate, s.r.o. in Slovakia. As of January 2022, logistics services have been separated from ComGate, a.s. into Shipmall, s.r.o. Employees, assets, and contracts with clients and suppliers have transferred to the newly formed company. All obligations and receivables related to logistics services are also smoothly transferred from the original to the new entity. The managing directors of Shipmall, s.r.o. are Michal Vavřina and Jakub Ouhrabka.
In Slovakia, the change only involves renaming the existing company ComGate, s.r.o. to Shipmall, s.r.o. Everything else remains unchanged.
From the service perspective, nothing changes. Contracts and terms remain the same. Warehousing continues in the same facilities in Prague, Týniště nad Orlicí, and Senec near Bratislava. The same experienced teams are working on the projects.
The brand change for logistics services is primarily a marketing decision. Under the ComGate brand, we mainly offer payment services. Offering warehousing logistics under the same brand caused confusion for many potential clients. With a separate brand and domain, marketing will be easier. Our new presentation will be at www.shipmall.cz.
Separating the brands will make communication with end users clearer and simpler. Users often contacted the wrong department — payment service questions were directed to logistics, and shipment status inquiries were directed to payment teams. Having a separate brand for logistics will prevent such misunderstandings.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the decision to create a separate brand was also supported by excellent results. In recent years, the year-over-year growth in logistics services has ranged between 35 and 50%. Warehouse space, team size, and technical equipment have expanded significantly every year.
With the Shipmall brand, we aim to continue the dynamic growth of previous years and build strong brand awareness in the fulfillment and warehousing logistics services sector for e-shops.
